I MISS YOU
I miss laughing until we cried. I miss the ninja hugs. I miss the long conversations; the ones that lasted until one of us finally fell asleep. I miss movie nights, & throwing popcorn at each other. Even if it meant we missed the whole movie, & had to clean the mess up later. I miss the random phone calls. The random “I Love You <3” text messages & wall posts. I miss being able to look across the room, make eye contact, & smile, because I know we’re thinking the same thing. I miss the random “presents”. Which, for the most part, consisted of food, or specifically, chocolate. But, you know what I miss most of all? I miss being able to look at you in the hall, & not say to myself, “Did I ever really know you? Not even a little bit. Not even at all.” I miss you. The you I once knew.
I’m the girl who prefers one rose instead of a dozen. I’m the girl who would rather stay in on a friday night than go to a wild party with random strangers. I’m the girl who wouldn’t make you wait on her hand and foot, but would do anything to make you happy. I’m the girl who would enjoy having a movie night rather than going to some fancy restaurant. I’m the girl who would rather stay up all night sharing secrets than going out and getting drunk. I’m the girl who won’t make you hold her bags, but would rather hold your hand instead. I’m the girl who will love you more than anyone can possibly dream of. I’m the girl who would give the world to see you smile.
